Write The Perfect Real Estate Blog Post
Blogging is one of the most valuable tools that real estate agents have to engage with their current and prospective clients. If you’re not blogging, it’s time to get started or get left behind. Read why you business needs a blog.
Blogging is not as easy as slapping some real estate keywords together and hoping people read them. Your blog posts need a strategy. Yes, there is sort of an art to curating the perfect blog post.
Okay, so is there such thing as the “perfect” blog post? Perfection is different for everyone. What is perfect for your blog post isn’t necessarily perfect for mine. But there are qualities to that “perfect post” that applies to every blog.
1. ON BRAND, IN DEPTH, HELPFUL CONTENT
When you are brainstorming blog content, ask yourself these questions:
- How does this post help me stand out as an authority in real estate?
- Does it reflect my skill set and show my audience how I can help them?
- Will this topic solve a problem or pain point my client has?
- Does this effectively help their struggle?
To be in-depth and helpful does not mean you have to writing 3000 word blog posts three times a week. We do recommend though that your blog posts range from 500 - 1,500 words each. When writing longer, detailed posts, it shows your audience you actually care about helping them overcome a struggle with the skill set you have.
Once a reader has success using one of your tips, they will keep coming back for more and are more likely to work with you in the future.
2. CALL TO ACTIONS
This seems like common knowledge when it comes to real estate marketing, yet it is often overlooked. Just to recap ( incase you don’t know what I’m talking about) a call to action is anything that encourages your reader to take action.
Example: Download FREE report here or Subscribe Today!
There are 3 things all call to actions include:
- A no-obligation statement that removes or reduces risk.
- Simple usability such as - Click the button below.
- Encouragement to respond right away. Don’t give people an option to wait and think about it.
Having a CTA is important because you don’t want your readers to just read your post and click out. You want to encourage interaction with your post and real estate brand.
3. EASY TO SHARE ON SOCIAL MEDIA
Blogging is all about enhancing your real estate brand. Sharing your content on social media is one of the cheapest and easiest ways to do so. If you want to gain more engagement on your social media platforms, than it is important to make sure that it is incredibly easy to share your posts!
